Sportsmanship is one of the main things that needs to be taught to your players throughout your practices and your games. You should even be a bit more strict on teaching sportsmanship rather than teaching them how to catch a fly ball or even a ground ball. The reason is because no these days on the television sometimes if not most of the time in sports you will see more poor sportsmanship than good sportsmanship and kids tend to copy things they see from professional athletes or better yet role models. So things that they see them do they will want to do or think that it is the right thing to do because they are doing it.

You need to teach them what is right and what is wrong.You should be the first person to endure good sportsmanship. the kids will see how you act on the field and they will do what you do as well. If they see you screaming at other players or other coaches then you yourself are showing poor sportsmanship.

Therefore how can you teach some one good sportsmanship if you are not doing it and you are the coach. You need to lead by example then your team will follow. Try and talk about sportsmanship all the time so that your kids never forget how important it is . Always teach your team that when the game is over whether your team won or lost that you always go out to shake the other team’s hand.

When you start out on your adventure teaching English abroad, you’re going to teach others and you don’t really think about yourself. But you can really develop yourself through traveling and you’ll really learn a lot. Travel is actually considered as an education in itself. Travel teaches you to:

1- Be independent

Through your experience, you’ll learn life skills, how to rely on yourself, and how to survive. It will teach you how to be street smart and think intelligently when you’re in situations that are unfamiliar to you. You’ll also learn practical skills, like how to budget your money.

2- Plan and be flexible

Traveling teaches you how to deal with situations beyond your control. If you have plans that for whatever reason don’t happen (because of rain, snow, you were bitten by a monkey – yikes!), you’ll learn how to let go, make the most of the situation, and have fun with whatever surprises are thrown your way.

3- Open your eyes to what else is out there in the world

Visiting poorer countries opens people’s eyes to the poverty that exists in the world and to how much better and easier people who live in Western countries have it. It teaches you to be thankful for what you have. It might give you a whole new lease on life and inspire you to try to change the world and make it better! But how are you supposed to understand and empathize with the world if you haven’t seen it for yourself?

4- Be more confident

Once you teach abroad and can navigate new countries with foreign languages – even learn how to speak them yourself, learn new skills, deal with new customs and exotic foods, and survive the experience, you’ll be super confident that you can do anything you want to!

5- Have an open mind

It’s easy to become stuck-in-a-rut in your life at home, but when your start traveling you’ll really learn to have an open mind about other people’s cultures and traditions.

You will learn how people live differently and how they think differently.

6- Realise the world is a beautiful place

The world is a beautiful place, with some amazing sites that you cannot truly appreciate until you’ve witnessed it for yourself. With some breathtaking sites such as the Great Wall of China or the rainforests with all sorts of creatures in South America, you’ll realize for yourself what an amazing world we live in.

As a restaurant owner, your place will usually become part of the community. You will meet tons of great people who will love coming in to see you.

Teach empathy.

Limits are about teaching your child how to be in the world and to treat others with respect. In many ways, setting limits is a way of teaching children the standards of respectful and kind behavior.

Reinforce acts of kindness in children.

If your daughter brings you a bouquet of flowers, show your joy. If you see your son sharing his favorite game with a friend, acknowledge it. Encourage children to give cards when people are sick or to thank them for gifts.

Encourage children to be kind to the world at large.

Reach out in your community in some way. Perhaps you can volunteer at a local soup kitchen, visit the sick or the elderly, or walk the dogs at the local animal shelter. Often, giving back to the world can be a family practice.

Model kindness.

Treat others with respect, demonstrate thoughtfulness, volunteer, and practice empathy. Children are more likely to internalize what you do, than what you say to do.
